Access pressure ratio
Also called: booking pressure ratio
Third-next available days divided by the office's access target for the same service.
The ratio makes the office's own target visible. It should be read beside completed use, cancellations, refill, backlog, patient need, and downstream continuity.
Two services in the same office can have opposite capacity conditions.
A third-next restorative opening of 21 days against a 14-day target produces a 1.5× access pressure ratio.
A ratio above one does not identify the cause or justify shorter clinical appointments.
Third-next available days ÷ office-set target days for the same service.
